Confab Equity Scholarship

Inclusion is a core value at Confab. This scholarship aims to remove the barriers that make conference attendance difficult or impossible for many people, as well as to create an environment of inclusivity for people whose experiences and expertise are often marginalized due to systemic oppression.

Eligibility

You are welcome to apply for a scholarship if you meet one or more of these criteria:

  • You are a Black person
  • You are a person of color
  • You are an Indigenous person
  • You have a disability
  • You identify as LGBTQIA+
  • You have lost your source of income or are experiencing a financial crisis
  • You can articulate another way you are experiencing inequity

Selection criteria

We will award scholarships based on need, impact, and available funds. If we have more applications than scholarships, a diverse group of reviewers will assist in the selection process. The number of scholarships awarded will be based on available funds and the specific needs articulated by scholarship recipients.

How to apply

Applications for the 2022 Confab Equity Scholarship will open later this year. Join the mailing list to stay in the loop about future opportunities.
