COVID-19 planning

As we look forward to our first in-person event since 2019, we’re prioritizing the health and safety of everyone who attends. Keep an eye on this page to stay up to date on our COVID-19 guidelines and policies for Confab 2022.

Your health and safety are our first priority.

We can’t wait to see you in person again in May—and we want you to feel completely confident about your decision to join us.

We’re carefully tracking all the latest health and safety guidance for large group gatherings from the CDC and the Minnesota Department of Health, and we plan to implement all guidelines as requirements for the four-day event. We’ll update this page regularly as things change.

We’re also partnering with our official venue, the Hyatt Regency, to ensure that Confab 2022 is held in a wholly safe and clean environment. See Hyatt COVID-19 policies and standards.

Here’s what will be required of participants.

Per current guidelines (November 9, 2021), all Confab 2022 attendees, speakers, sponsors, and staff will be subject to the following mandates:

  • Proof of vaccination (OR proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours) must be provided on-site when you arrive.
  • A face mask that completely covers your mouth and nose must be worn at all times in public spaces, except when eating or drinking.

Should recommendations change closer to the event, we will update our mandates accordingly. Check back here for the latest.

We’ll make things as easy as we can.

We’re also taking additional steps to ensure you’re safe and comfortable, so you can enjoy Confab to the very fullest:

  • Masks and hand sanitizer available on-site
  • Careful considerations for your health and safety as we serve meals and snacks
  • Event design measures to ensure your personal boundaries are respected

What if large gatherings are prohibited in May 2022?

If we’re not able to safely host Confab in Minneapolis during our scheduled dates, Confab will change to an online-only event. At that time, everyone already registered would have the option of converting to an online ticket or canceling their registration. See our terms and conditions for details.
