We envision a more diverse, inclusive, equitable field of practice.

Conferences don’t just reflect the communities they represent. They actively shape them.

Brain Traffic founded the Confab Equity Scholarship program to help build a more diverse, inclusive community far beyond our four days together each year. These scholarships allow us to expand the Confab audience to include people whose experiences are marginalized due to systemic oppression and exclusion.

For Confab 2023, we’re seeking organizations to act as sponsors and partners in our equity scholarship program. Learn more about becoming a Confab Equity Scholarship Program sponsor.

The Confab scholarship felt like a lifeline when my post-pandemic life got really tough going. When I received the news, the pesky question, "Why me?" took on a very different tone. All the messages from Confab organizers gave me a feeling that I – a PTSD single mom from a small, faraway country – really mattered. And that was just the beginning. If I were to describe Confab in one word, it would be inclusion. It radiated from everything: the talks' topics, the star speakers’ demeanor, and the way the space was organized. As for the content itself, the visionary scope of the talks and workshops blew me away. I took a lot of notes, but my main takeaway from Confab is: It's possible to be neurodivergent and a top-notch content designer at the same time. Thank you with all my heart!
