Confab Equity Scholarship

The Confab community is purposefully designed to be inclusive of people whose experiences are often marginalized due to systemic oppression and exclusion. We created the Confab Equity Scholarship awards to help increase the diversity of voices and perspectives at our events, as well as to help remove the barriers that make conference attendance difficult for many people.

Eligibility

You are welcome to apply for a scholarship if you meet one or more of these criteria:

  • You are a Black person
  • You are a person of color
  • You are an Indigenous person
  • You have a disability
  • You identify as LGBTQIA+
  • You have lost your source of income due to COVID-19 or are experiencing a financial crisis
  • You can articulate another way you are experiencing inequity

Selection criteria

We will award scholarships based on need, impact, and available funds. If we have more applications than scholarships, a diverse group of reviewers will assist in the selection process. The number of scholarships awarded will be based on available funds and the specific needs articulated by scholarship recipients.
